RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up and operate probe stations, fibre arrays, tunable lasers and optical spectrum analysers.
- Automate measurement sweeps and data capture, and own the resulting data pipeline.
- Characterise insertion loss, extinction ratio, bandwidth, responsivity and dark current across wafers.
- Write the calibration and uncertainty budget for every measurement you own.
- Feed structured results back to design so the next revision is better.

WHAT WE NEED TO SEE
- Bench experience with optical and electrical instrumentation.
- Ability to script instrument control and turn raw traces into analysis.
- Rigour about calibration — you know the difference between an error bar and a guess.
ADVANTAGEOUS
- Spectral and eye-diagram analysis at high data rates.
- Experience with wafer-level or automated probers.
- Thermal and environmental test experience.
